Aaron provided pictures of a kitten for sale and provided a purchase order for $850 to be paid via Venmo. Stupidly, I sent $850 and the kitten was supposed to be shipped by air the next day. The next day, received email saying the kitten needed an upgraded container to be safely shipped. They requested $1,500 deposit and all but $50 (rental fee) would be refunded in the end.
At this point, I was suspicious. The only methods of deposit they would accept were the equivalent and cash. They would not accept a credit card as is typical for a deposit. Aaron tried to apeal to us that the "poor kitten was stuck and we needed to provide the money. Eventually, Aaron realized we were aware of the scam and stopped communicating.
