On December 5, 2019 I ordered a brand-new dinette set from Aarons. On the day it was delivered I noticed that one of the chairs were scratched up and missing a tag. Upon bringing it to the delivery guys attention I was told to contact the store. After contacting the store, the manager told me that my new chair was damaged so, they replaced it with a chair that they had from a used dinette set. Mind you this was not told to me prior to the dinette set being delivered. I would not even have known had I not seen the scratches on the used chair and noticed the tag was missing. After that the manager told me that he would credit me for the chair and provide me with one month’s credit for the dinette set. This was in December of 2019.

On October 2, 2020 after making a payment I wanted to see what the balance on my account was. I also wanted a copy of my contract for the dinette set. Upon asking one of the managers gave me a printout of my payments and wrote my payoff amount at the bottom of the page. I was then told that I could not have a copy of my contract because they had already given me one last year. I then looked at my payment history and noticed that I was not given the credit for the dinette set payment in December.

After practically begging, I was finally given a contract that had been altered to reflect only 5 new chairs and a dinette set. I was also told that I would receive the credit that I thought was given to me in December. However, this credit still did not look to me to be reflected in my balance. Upon receiving a copy of my contract, I spoke to Travis the district manager about my concerns.

Travis was very rude and argumentative and made lots of excuses. Travis also tried to convince me that my original contract said 5 new chairs and 1 used chair which it did not. After finding my original contract it verified that I was billed for 6 new chairs. This contradicts what Travis stated to me numerous times.

The copy of the contract given to me on October 2, 2020 is different from the one given to me on December 5, 2019. I was also given a change of agreement paper on October 2, 2020 that reflected 6 chairs that I am being charged for. Also, if your complaint needs to be escalated the district manager Travis will not allow you to send your complaint up the chain of command.

Enclosed are the contracts and change to agreement papers that were given to me on December 5, 2019 and on October 2, 2020. The papers mark A is the contract from December and the paper marked B is the contract that was printed on October 2, 2020.

In February, 2017, as l say, made mistake to attend a "FREE" seminar by Raymond Aaron called Create Your Own Economy AND 10-10-10 Program. I had recently came into $1,000 after a mercedes hit my car and UNFORTUNATELY, due to master salesmanship got suckered into signing up for a Program where lndividuals actually pay him as they write a book. Writing a book wasnt on my mind, but he insists if individuals write a book on something, even if it aint very good, they have LEVEREDJ Over thise WITHOUT A BOOK. The goal is to become, in having a book eventually (you have one year to write the book) an "authority" regarding the topic of your book. Sadly, l was sick during the seminar, and wasnt in my right mind when l signed up for program because MANY OTHERS DID TOO after a Master salespitch and put a whopping $787 down, first payment of four. Paid his graphic designer he recommended for a book design.

But when l got it back, was shocked to find it was Not to my Liking due to its offensively placed wordings that can only be described as mysogynistic. Like the whole thing a joke to the designer. Happily, the Designer Refund my money right away. Decided the third day of the weekend after putting down $787, that maybe it'd be a good idea to get a refund. A fellow attendee had put down over $3,000, but came to her senses w/in THREE DAY TIME LIMlt & got a Refund. UNFORTUNATELY, they have someone there who has the title something like "thought control" who talked me OUT of getting a refund. After that, l don't remember too much. Have had a very stressful time with two jobs, and TRUSTED l would see something for my money. Got on his facebook "Get Real w/ Raymond" ,

where some discussion takes place by Others who have bought his packages (many of whom have benefitted.) Emailed w/ my Book Advisor/"Book Architect" a few times, but was odd . . . It felt like there was no structure. Basiically, Raymond Aaron gave us two books @ seminar for paying @ least $795 , and basically, besides being emailed @ odd if not offensive times by him such as @ 4:39 . . . I felt like he took this $$$ that was special to me but nothing much to him & he ran w/ it. Then l complained on his Get Real w/ Raymond facebook & many satisfied clients stood up for him. Raymond Aaron wrote : " l'm sorry for your unpleasant experience and will have it investigated and gave my staff get back to you." Then l got kicked off his Get Real w/ Raymond page, l guess because l got too Real. Some folc agreed w/ me & many good points were made, but l have no record because l, a current client, was kucked out. They were mad @ me for being sad about my experience. Saying my distasteful experience w/ Raymond Aaron & his graphic designer caused me 7 months depression l could have been writing a book. I've asked for a full Refund ($787 ) , saying l would be happy to return his book on Branding & his teenage daughters book on Success. But this is what his company tell me : Hi Celina.... I am sorry as you are past your refund policy, no refund to be given. . . . .

. I've wrote them several angry letters. But though Raymond Aaron said he was sorry, if he was earnest, rather than invite me to yet another conference/sales pitch , he'd simply get me a refund. Many enjoy what he & his staff have to offer (including his graphic designer) & have benefitted from his programs. l am not one of them. And after doing a little looking, l have found l am not alone in being unhappy. Basically, he subjected me to myzogyny: first, his graphic designer ; then himself in ways so slight its difficult to show but that you know ; and finally, in men on his facebook taking the liberty to kick me out because l wasnt being upbeat enough about my experience w/ Raymond Aaron Group. Would like to hear from others "arent happy" w/ their experience & therefore, even if current clients, be kicked out the Get Real Conversation . . . Meanwhile, men who hitting on you in facebook, permit to stay. WANT A REFUND !!!

I recently moved, and decided that I would lease a washer and dryer from Aarons. I was told that I would pay 96.00 a month for the bundle. We moved a month ago and received the washer and dryer 2 weeks later than we were supposed too. During this whole time Aaron's was extremely friendly, and I was trying to work with them to get them delieved. Eventually we got the washer and dryer, and instantly (a week later) was told I was late onmy first months payment. They have proceeded to call me a miniumum of 4 times a day, calling while I am at work, and during the night. They have come by my house twice asking my girlfriend where I am, and when she is expecting me to be home. They leave voice mails and 75% of them are just blank voice mails. We have just had the washer and dryer a month as of two days ago. I am going to be returning them to Aarons, because of the harrassment and I will never be renting from them again. I will no recommend them to anyone, Aaron's is a scam, rip off, and much more. I am paying almost $100 a month, for 24 months to pay off this washer and dryer that I found out last night I can buy from sears for $800 dollars. $2,400 vs. $800...? What a rip-off!

I was in dire need of a new mattress in my home so I decided to shop around and I didn't have the money up front so I decided to go to Aaron's so I can put some money down and make payments. They tell me if you pay it off in 4 months it's the same as cash so that was my plan. I get to the store and the lady who helps me shows me a mattress in my price range but says to me 'let me ask my manager to see if I can get you a lower price' and of course this makes me excited and then she returns and tells me it will be lower. Well being lower was great and all but I didn't know a lower price meant a used mattress. I didn't know it was used until the guys showed up to deliver it and it was not in a package and I could tell it wasn't new. I needed a new mattress so bad and I don't like to complain so I didn't do anything about it at the time. Now a few months go by and the middle of the mattress gives out for no reason caused by me at all so I call and complain and tell them the only reason this could happen was because I was sold a used mattress. They told me they would have to take a look at it, so 2 guys showed up the next night after they told be afternoon but no one showed until the evening at 7pm, the guys take pictures and say the manager will contact me after he puts the picture into their insurance. Almost 5 days go by and still I haven't heard back from them so I decided to call, I'm then told I have to call them back in 2 days and then when I call back they finally say they will exchange my mattress. When they bring the exchange I notice it looks worse then the current mattress but there was no dent in it. I'm very unhappy with this company and the way they handle things and scam their customers.

My brother had gotten a washer and dryer from Aaron's. They harassed us. Showed up to our house and knocked on the doors and WINDOWS FOR 30 mins. Claiming we were late on payment. So they take us to court and get the washer and dryer back. When we go through our records we where actually ahead in payments. So we tried taking them to court but the judge wouldn't take it because it had been past 60 days that he should have done it. As far as I know he didn't even say it needed to be before the 60 days. Anyway I don't advise Aaron's at all. Even though it was under my brothers name anyone living at this address supposedly can't get stuff from them. Fine by me I don't want their expensive crap that they steal back anyway.

My health got bad I had to return merchandise, they kept saying that they would pick it up, I finally took it back to them. It was reported as a charge off and now it's a collection. Does corporate office read these comments?

It is a shame that rental companies prey on the disadvantaged. Aaron's Rent to own is the worst and very disrepectful. The employees do not know how to talk to you.

I rented some furniture from them and thought it was for a year but they lied. I told them I was very ill and I would take care of it but they harassed me for a week. I kept the emails that was sent to me.

It has to be a better way to deal with companies like this. It is a ripoff and needs to be stopped. I take these type of actions very serious.

I am buying a sectional couch from Aarons. One of the pieces has a spring poking up. The store manager Amber came to look at it and said they would take it to the store to look at there because they have the tools they need there. I was told I would get it back by the next day. After a week of hearing nothing from them I called and she said she forgot to call but the piece needed a part that had to be ordered. A a few days later I called them again and she said she had again forgot to call but that the piece wasn't working and the spring was still coming out and she was trying to order another section for it but they no longer make that set. She said she would call me back the following day. A couple days later I called because again she forgot to call me back. She was getting another section in for it from another store. Once that came in, and I had to call them again, it was the wrong section. I was told she would call the other store and get the Wright one and call me back the next day. I waited a couple days and after hearing nothing I went into the store to talk to her and she said she was waiting for a family member to bring the section here from the other store. At that point I decided to go to another company for a couch. When I called and told her to pick this couch up she told me they would pick it up that night by 6:30pm. They never showed up.

I was renting an HP 10.1 touchscreen Pavillion that was new out of the box, or so they claimed. Within 1 month of having this computer it stopped working and they brought me a loaner to have the other one fixed. The Battery never worked at all and they could not get one, so I went an entire month with a laptop that had to be plugged in. I just recently got the laptop back and it stil does not work at all and they are going to bring me back the loaner. But I am paying for something that is not going to be mine.

I just moved into a house a year ago. It has been empty for 3 years at the time I moved in. I left everything behind because I had a bed bug infestation problem. So, I went to Aaron's and bought a bedroom suit. I kept feeling like something was biting me, but after visually inspecting the bed I didn't find anything. After the 4th or 5th month I started noticing the bed bugs, so I called Aaron's and told them about the issue with bed bugs. They denied giving them to me even after I explained that everything in my home was brand new and the only thing that has bed bugs is my bed. They stated that they could've been in the base boards and I informed them that the house has been empty for 3 years, which bed bugs will start to die off or move on after 15 months of not having blood. They are suing me for non-payment, but if they would eradicate these critters from my bed I would gladly pay them. I told them that I am highly allergic to these things and that everytime I get bit, I end up with blisters and in some cases blood blisters and that my skin hurts from being bit up. Nobody should ever have to go through this because of an irresponsible company who claims to do monthly inspections on their furniture knowing that nymphs can't be seen with the naked eye!

I rented a washer and dryer from Aaron's back in February 2015 paid $160 a month. I was diagnosed with an Arachnoid Cyst in my brain in March 2015. I fell behind one payment. Aarons came to my house on August 4,2015 to repossess my washer and dryer. I called Oxford Maine office to make payment to bring me current manager refused payment and hung up on me. "No money is necessary, just give back washer and dryer" absolutely not willing to work with me. I reported this to district office but no results as of yet.
