They are a nightmare to rent from and deal with. They are extremely nice to your face while they are completely taking advantage of you. They tell you the rent will only be so much until you sign the lease and then all the sudden the rent is hundreds of dollars more every month and it fluctuates every month so you never know how much you're actually going to pay and just continues to go up and up. They constantly complain about every little move and change the rules. They make you feel so uncomfortable living in your own home. If something breaks, they will completely put you out. We had our bathroom back up multiple times and they drug all kinds of crap across our carpet and dirtied the carpet. Then, when we moved out they billed us for $3,000 for carpet!!! Carpet that could have been cleaned and was just normal wear and tear but most of the spots were caused by their own contractors and we had to live with it but then when we move out then we get in trouble for it and have to pay for it? So when we told them that we weren't going to pay for it they started sending us harassing letters and threatening to completely ruin us and our future and our credit and our ability to ever rent from anyone ever again. They get out of putting any money into their apartments by billing the last tenant for the next tenant's new stuff. A lot of the reason that I chose this place was because it was so clean. Had I known that it was so clean because they completely take advantage of everybody moving out then I would have chosen to not rent from them. We are extremely clean people and I cannot believe that they have the nerve to bill us this much for normal wear and tear! Not to mention, two of the rooms didn't even have a single spot on them yet they replaced the carpet? In the apartment really isn't that big so $3,000 is just completely outrageous!!!! And don't even get me started on their threatening tactics!!! It's horrible! What they do to their tennants seeking to move out is completely disgusting and can't be legal! And if it is legal than laws need to change because it is absolutely ridiculous that big companies like this can get away with doing stuff like this to people. It's just awful that you move somewhere because of how nice their apartments are only for it to completely destroy your life. Nobody should rent from them!!! EVER!!!!
I was working for this company as a housekeeper. Well when I became ill and had to take a week off work with a doctor's slip their HR department tells me that they aren't legally obligated to pay their employees the rest of their PTO when they are no longer employed. Well the hole reason all this started was because their property manager at one of their "luxury premiere apartment complex in Akron Ohio" told me I couldn't come back until the doctor put a diagnosis on my excuse slip. Well by law they can not ask you your diagnosis. So I felt like I was being discriminated against and when I said something about this I was told that this was their company policy. So please beware if you work or even rent from this company because there isn't nothing luxury about these complexes. They cut so many corners that one day one of the tenants will get hurt. While I loved the job in the beginning, it became inevitable that this company doesn't care about their employees or their tenants. I just hope that one day soon they get on trouble for trying to BULLY their employees and tenants
