Horrible customer service, paid my bill on time every month. Went to move out and was told I would receive my deposit that day. The manager of the complex Eric Hupp was rude to my friends because I was running late (had problems getting my moving truck) and called me while I was driving a Uhaul and demanded to talk to me after I told him I would have my friends leave the property since I hadn't arrived yet. I almost had a car accident because he called me and spoke with my friend riding with me, then called 2 seconds later after I said I would call and resolve the situation, and was rude.
Who has time to call in 2 seconds??? He was very rude and to not only my friends but me, my family on numerous occasions. The ironic thing is that if it wasn't for a former roommate using my phone number and me contacting a mutual friend they wouldn't have gotten their money for another storage unit. This is my repayment for helping this company not only get reimbursement for helping A+ Self Storage retain their money for unit A66, plus the fact that they didn't have to sell off the items, as well as pay for legal fees.
I hadn't been to the property since May 2015 when I placed my remaining items in storage and was told that "one of my friends" broke a light bulb in the unit. Why would I find out 3 months later after I was told I would get my full deposit back. I never made a late payment and helped them get their money back! Also, the lack of customer service an unprofessional demeanor that Eric Hupp displays is ridiculous. The fact that I wasn't reimbursed when I even made sure to sweep out the unit so it was cleaner than when I placed my items in there.
Yet they refused to give me $75-100 that they should have reimbursed me is pathetic. Considering when I was called because a former roommate used my phone number and I gave them all of the information I had and helped set it up so a friend could get their stuff from that particular storage unit, saved them the expense of selling the items as well as the expense of legal fees and they want $75-$100 that bad???
Bad business for sure. The guy follows you around like a freak the entire time and I moved my items out August 22, 2015 - BEST day of my life. For 5 months I dealt with that place and I will never, ever deal with them again. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and telling everyone I know what horrible customer service and customer abuse they will have to incur if they deal with this business.
