Had been looking for reclining ottoman chairs for some time. Used to own 2 long ago. Visited furniture store in my area. Decided to shop on-line to save about half the cost of brick and mortar store. Spent many weeks mulling over and looking at reviews of different chairs. I shop lots of Amazon.com and at the bottom of the Amazon page there was the same chair at the above mentioned company for less than Amazon.com so I took the chance and ordered 2 each from them. Payed through PayPal. I was hesitant as I could not find many reviews for said chairs and hundreds of reviews for others on Amazon.com but since the gray color was what I wanted I went ahead and bought.
After receiving two boxes from Fed-Ex I opened one and put together, then realized it was very hard and uncomfrontable and the upholstery was nothing like what others were saying as "soft" and "rich" looking. After contimplating a couple of hours and sitting in the chair I determined this was not going to work. I immediately sent an e-mail to customer service and told them my issues and asked if they would work with me on a partial refund or something (all is documented in e-mails). Never heard a word back. Not even "are you kidding me? or go to hell"...nothing. I gave them a few days and once again sent them an e-mail...nothing. I was polite and admitted my stupidity of buying sight unseen...and please work with me. Having worked most of my life in retail I know to return something to a chinese manufacturer is almost impossible and most retailers are told to donate to chairity and they are issued credits for inferior merchandise.
I should have purchased from Amazon.com, payed a few bucks extra and would not have this heart burn. Live and Learn. I will cut my losses but hope the next person will not feel screwed as I have been.
