I got hired by TTEC recently and started on January 28, 2019. That was my meet and greet day. On the 29th, it was my Tech Check in..which was when the techs were going to install all the programs we needed for our Line of Business. They had remote access to take control of my computer. (Now don't get me wrong as I have done this with 2 prior work at home jobs on this computer with no issues.)
So while these techs had control, they installed 2 apps to check for Adware and Malware...supposedly I had over 300 Malwares and over 20 Adwares(which doesn't make since as I had did a full factory reset of computer a month prior). After this was done, they had me insert the flashdrive that was required for this job...then they had me restart so they can get the system started to install on the drive.
Now this took about 3 hours and then it needed me to restart computer. When I did this, my computer monitor would not come on. This was around 5pm. It took until about 11:45pm before it came back on. The following morning I did a system restore to the 27th. This basically set it back to before whatever the techs did. I called the company techs again using the ticket number I was given.
Told them what happened and what I did. The tech then had me turn off computer and insert flashdrive and turn on computer. When I did this, my CPU power light wouldn't come on! Nothing but the fans in my CPU and my speakers came on. I ended up missing training due to this. I took my CPU to a computer repair shop on February 1st. Today, February 4th, I heard back from the shop.
They basically told me that my $800 CPU's Hard Drive AND Motherboard were FRIED!! That it would cost $350 to repair. I'm so pissed off as my computer was working perfectly until they did this. Now I either spend funds on repairing it or just buy a new system. Never work for these people at all!
