My boat was for sale with THUNDER MARINE on consignment. On or about Monday, May 15th in the evening the blew my motor doing a sea trial with untrained kids running my boat at above the max RPM's in addition to other scratches and damages.
I was not on the boat with them when they took for sea trial, I was out of town also.
The service manager tried to imply he was running the boat, but in fact he was not on the boat at all when they blew the power head at such high RPM, it blew piston through block wall.
The kids doing the sea trial were not mechanics from what I could tell by talking to them as they did not know what to do when motor made noise.
They admitted they heard noises from motor and kept running the motor unti lit blew up
Had they been trained as proper mechanics, they would have immediately turned the motor off and saved my engine, or at lest the powerhead block
They lied and told me they were running at 5500 RPM, when in fact they had exceed Yamaha’s recommended factory range and was at 5900 RPM. I have all the computer data showing they lied. By going so fast, it caused it to blow very forcibly, shooting piston rod through side of block.
I tried to talk to them, asking for Steve to call me and he never did.
They have a history of damaging other boats and people need to know and people need to file as many reports about their damage from Thunder arine since they deleted theor negative google reviews.
People should also complain to Google about their deleted reviews.
