Our goal is to help someone not regret using RV Specialists of Leander TX and WASTE their money. Their work is shoddy and you pay labor for them figuring out what is going on - instead of them knowing their repairs.
Example: Our refrigerator wasn't working. Claimed they fixed it the first time. Nope. They came a second time. Claimed it was fixed. Nope. We called in Doug of Hill Country RV in Marble Falls. He diagnosed it over the phone, came and got it repaired beautifully. RV Specialists cost for the refrigerator repair (which never was done) $210 labor. We requested a refund, since they the did not do the repair. They didn't even have the courtesy to contact us. Doug's charge for the refrigerator fix? $100 service call (even though it did take a second trip out for a part he needed to order).
We had RV Specialists install a new door lock. They put in the new key part of the lock system. They used the old hardware and never changed out the other half of the lock of the lock system. Again, shoddy work. Charged $60 labor and didn't do the complete repair. Now our lock is slipping and not working properly.
RV Specialists charged us $60 for a water heater diagnosis. Came back saying it was working fine. They only looked at the tests and disregarded the functional facts that they saw, experienced and what we relayed was happening. I guess if the diagnostics say it is fine, it doesn't matter what is functionally happening. Brilliant!
RV Specialists charged $180 labor to replace a TV antenna. Really? A simple replacement (the old one was already gone and we had the new one purchased), but they had to come twice (and charged us for the 2nd trip) for their mistake of not checking it they had it installed correctly. It should be common sense to verify that what you installed actually worked.
Dishonorable company. Unprofessional. Sub-standard work. Very rude to deal with on the phone. We mailed a letter requesting a refund for repairs not done and never heard from them.
