I contacted RML a month in advance to book a sprinter for a concert. The owner, Mario Long sent over the sprinter options, I chose the one we wanted, and sent him a deposit. He sent over a receipt and confirmed our booking. Friday 7/16/2021, I called Mr Long to confirm our booking since he had yet to contact me since 6/14/2021, the day we booked his services and it was now the day before the event so we needed to be sure there were no issues.
He seemed confused about whether we had booked or not and asked me to send over our invoice. After viewing our invoice, he called back and asked if we could change our sprinter because he had another booking that would go over. I stated that we couldn't and asked if he could alter the other groups booking as we had booked a month In Advance and there was no reason that the vehicle should have been double booked. He called back 7/16 at 9:16pm est and confirmed that we were good to go and he'd have the car there at 4:30pm the next day with no issue.
On Saturday at 4:27, Mr Long contacted me to explain that the car was on the way but couldn't make it on time and offered me a refund. I asked if we could just meet the car at a halfway point and receive a credit instead as it was a large party and it would be difficult to accommodate with another company with so short notice since the event started in less than an hour. He stated that he would call another driver and have them meet us at a local Publix in Mableton, Ga in 40 minutes. I told Mr Long that we were 42 minutes away from the location and would be there shortly to meet with driver.
Upon arrival there was no driver and Mr Long wouldn't answer either of his phones nor did he provide us with driver contact info. We departed the location as it had appeared the we'd been scammed. Shortly after arriving to the venue someone called my number stating that they were Mr Long's driver and that they were on the way, 45 minutes out to be exact. I stated to her that Mr Long lied to both her and my party about pick up times and arrivals. He double booked the vehicle, promised a refund and now refuses to give my money back.
He is now texting and calling my phone harassing me regarding me complaining about his services via social media. He is threatening to come to my home address to fight despite the fact that the only threat I've presented to him is legal action. I'd like to resolve this issue and move on. Mr Long continues to reiterate on our contractual agreement but also continues to acknowledge that he offered me a refund. I gave Mr Long an alternative option, leaving the refund as a last resort. Therefore, since he could not successfully complete the alternative, mutually agreed upon option, our verbal confirmation should compel him to reimburse the $621 deposit that he promised. I would simply love to receive my refund and move on with my life.
