Like many local (and non local) people have discovered, this dealership is a disaster. The old saying "the fish stinks from the head down" couldn't be more applicable. The owner of this dealership has zero clue about how to treat people. He mistreats his employees and in turn, they are on the ragged edge with customers. How would you feel if your boss tells you "sell x number of cars by Friday or you're fired" your family depends on your income, so you do what you must. The top managers of this company have been groomed by the owner to reward mediocrity and to punish integrity and professionalism. No one stays here long enough to develop a following. They bring you in, sell all your friends and family a
new or used vehicle, then you are cast out. Even quicker if you treat customers with due respect. You are encouraged to treat customers as nothing more than victims. The more you can rip off each one, the better. They don't care if you as a customer come back, they seem to have a never ending supply of willing victims. My mistake was treating my time at lucas as a building block for my future and to attempt to repair the horrible reputation that this company has. Two major nails in my own coffin. They don't care what people think about their business practices, and don't care about the countless industry professionals that they have sucked the life out of and spit out the other end. My review is titled "mediocrity rewarded"
because the cream of the crop, the true professionals in the automotive industry won't stay here long. They see the rip off artists being patted on the back, given raises, and guaranteed long term employment, while people that have integrity, experience and ethics are run through like cattle in a shoot. The car business is tough. It's easy to become jaded. Customers are the reason we all go to work every day. Those customers have friends and family that all deserve to be treated with respect, and valued for their patronage. I don't know how this dealership stays in business, but I can assure you that other local dealers are scooping up their cast-off customers and doing the right things to keep them. But hey, what do I know?
I've only been in the car business for 30 years. I value my customers. I value your customers Mr lucas. Maybe the next owners of this prime property will turn your lot into a moratorium so your shady tactics and disrespect to customers and employees won't be such a surprise when they leave feeling used, mistreated and taken advantage of....
