Lori is trying to sell us a dog with evidence of mange on the paw and infections in the dogs nails. I took photographs of the dog to Dr David Nahrwold DVM of Woodburn IN. The moment I showed him the photograph, he immediately advised us that the dog was in need of medical attention and we should not purchase a puppy from them. With every question we asked Lori about the dogs ailments and conditions, she gave very vague answers, and she refuses to send the puppy to a vet to have tests on the area conducted. She told me why would a vet do that when the hair is growing back. I informed her that I will not be purchasing a dog from her, requested my down payment back and in turn she refused. she told me I can buy a different puppy. and the other one she tried selling me had the same issues, but on its tail. Through my own personal investigations, I am not the only individual who have had run ins with this breeder.
There are plenty of stories on the internet citing her sketchiness in not providing information, receiving dogs with mange, parvo, and giardia. They are being bred by a man named Elmer Miller, and the puppies are just brought to her address for show and sale. We asked to see the parents of the pup and was quickly denied without explanation. No puppy should ever get mange!! These animals are being kept in deplorable conditions!
