I tried calling before my appointment to clear up a question I had about the tests I was ordered to have done. After 3 calls and no answer I left a voicemail following the prompt: "please leave us a voicemail and we'll get back to you." Then I called the 1800 number, and asked "what is considered proof of a doctors order?" She replied, "just bring the email from your doctor" so that's what I brought. My email listed one more test, which they didn't have in their system. After I confronted Candi, at the desk about their lack of attentiveness to their phone lines, Candi replied "oh we don't answer the phone when we have 100 patients in here" I looked around and there were 2 people waiting. She proceeds to tell me "for future reference, that email was not sufficient because they needs the 'codes'. That's why I tried calling!
3pm, I haven't eaten all day, almost passed out after the nurse lost my vein and stabbed it back into my arm. I was in cold sweats, about to pass out, hyperventilating, and asked for a cup of water... Here's the kicker- they don't have cups. She gives me an empty pee cup filled with water and a wet paper towel. Are you kidding me? Karl told me that because they already ran my card and I wouldn’t have to pay for anything tomorrow, because I'd have to come back the next day to get a little more blood to fulfill the sample. I showed up again the next day (today) so they could get a little bit more blood for me to complete the sample. The supervisor “Candi” told me that I needed to pay $140 again at which point I told her that’s not what I was told yesterday… she claimed that the existing order that they ran the payment for yesterday was basically void because they weren’t able to fulfill it, so they needed to run my card again… I had $700 on my card and still a pending transaction for $140 being held against my checking account… But I handed her my card anyway and said "OK go ahead and run it…"
She claimed that she tried to run it three times and each time it didn’t go through- at which point I got Wells Fargo bank on the phone, and told her I was calling them. I walked out of the room and she shouted "you don't have to act like that, and we have the right to refuse service to you" and I said, "I'm not acting like anything ma'am". Wells Fargo confirmed that no activity was seen on the card. There were no new transactions or any attempts to speak of according to the bank... so I know she was either lying or didn't know how to do her job... I'm pretty sure after speaking with her that she denied service to me on purpose and never actually attempted to run the card. Candi then gave me a number for the billing department, I called the billing department and they said that they were unable to reverse the transaction from yesterday.
I payed for genetic testing and then both me and my ex decided to drop the court case. I requested a refund, they sent me a form to fill out, I did that and they said wait 5 business days, it has been almost 2 weeks, I lost 525 because they are thrives and in a financial situation where I can't afford that big of a loss
LabCorp Yucca valley CA After Presenting My Insurance so I might have my Doctor Ordered Blood Panel, I was informed They would Require NOT a Co-pay, but a credit card to cover "Estimated costs not covered by insurance"! $180 ! When I said, I'm not paying you $180, What do I have insurance for?! The lady got pissy and said "I don't want anything from you, I'm not even going to collect a co-pay from you." It was like She wanted me to stop talking So the Other Clients wouldn't Hear? Later when Bill arrived via Snail mail it was a Whopping $15. This was Not the 1st Time LabCorp Pulled This. A few years ago, (my wife had to remind me) Same Scenario & I Fell For it, to the tune of $150 That I Never Saw Again . . . This, if not Illegal, Seems Very Shady? Perusing your site reveals this seems to be Nationwide for LabDorks? Thnx.
I had some simple blood tests performed that I thought were covered by my insurance, but weren't. The mistake was mostly mine, and I'm obliged to pay for them.
However, I'm only obliged to pay a fair price, not an outrageously inflated one, particularly not one that unfairly targets Marylanders.
Labcorp charges Marylanders $377 for these tests, but only $120 in 45 other states including Virginia, for exactly the same tests. And that's not counting the 15% off promotional coupon, which reduces the price to $102. And that's for individuals with no insurance – corporations typically pay only $40 to $70, and from one group Labcorp accepts as little as $17.40. Clearly $377 is far greater than a fair price.
I've offered three times to pay the individual's typical national fee of $120.00 for the tests, including once by certified mail, and each time LabCorp has ignored or rejected my offer without explanation. Perhaps their debt collection agency will be more reasonable.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated – for example, calling LabCorp, asking "Hey, are you guys really doing this to Marylanders?", and citing my complaint as your reason for calling.

I ordered myself a mercury blood test, as I was doubtful my doctor would, and I suspected mercury toxicity from an OTC medicine. After I had my blood drawn, the phlebotomist placed a label that printed from the little machine, that read 'arsenic.' It was a very plain label, and the font was quite large for something that goes on a blood collection tube. I cannot remember the color of the top of the tube, nor what else was written on the tube, as the arsenic label stood out to me the most. I did ask the phlebotomist why the label said arsenic, and she looked puzzled, showed me the paperwork, shrugged her shoulders and assured me I was getting a mercury test. I guess I assumed I could trust her and the lab, so didn't inquire any more.
Then, I got my lab results back. They read, "None Detected." I wouldn't have contacted the lab if I didn't remember that label on the tube. I thought, what if they tested for arsenic and not mercury? Labs, computers, people all make mistakes. I contacted LabCorp online, received a response about 5 days later at 11:30pm on a Sunday. I thought this was odd, but immediately wrote them back the onfo they requested to look up my order. I immediately received a response and the customer service person said I was tested for mercury and not arsenic. I responded back (this occurred at about 1am) with my question about the label. She again responded with what I now know to be the most ridiculous answer. She said that the tubes are labeled with the preservatives within them, and she believes that includes arsenic. I sort of gave up for a couple of weeks, as I saw where this was going.
I finally decided to call the lab, and simply asked what kind of additives are in their mercury blood collection tubes. I was met with the silence you get when asking a question that someone has to dig a tiny bit to find out. Two different people during that phone call informed me that the tubes contained EDTA. Well, I do know what that is, and that is a more logical answer! I then told the person on the phone that I needed to speak to a supervisor because another one of their customer service people told me that arsenic is in the blood collection tubes when I first contacted the lab with concerns about the results of my blood test. Well, the conversation turned into me restating my case over and over, with them telling me that there is no way that they can make a mistake. They said that the lab order is connected to the number on the tube, and that's all they look at. They do not place the name of the test on the tube, nor would they test a sample based on the name of the test on the tube. SO, all that matters is the req.#. I asked, "Then WHY would a phlebotomist put that label on there in the first place?" They had no answer. I then asked, "Why would your customer service person lie or make up an answer to my question?" They had no explanation. They just kept repeating, in other words, that it is impossible for their lab to make a mistake. I have never heard of such a thing. I have heard about people receiving terrible news from their doctor, only to have them retract it because of a "mix-up at the lab." I have never heard of anyone, anywhere claiming that they never make mistakes.
I told them I paid for the test, and now cannot trust it. It was useless. They told me that I had to contact the 3rd party company that sells the tests, Request A Test, if I wanted a refund. I did so, and got the same run around from someone who told me that there was nothing she could do as I already had the test done. She said I could get another test at 10% off. WHY would I do that if I didn't trust the lab with the first one? On top of that, mercury may not be detected anyway now, as there is a time limit on these things. I was also told that the supervisor from LabCorp would look into the false answer I received from the customer service employee, and she'd get back to me. I forwarded her the email that proved the person lied. Yeah, I'm sure I'll hear back.
I have tested my urine, and the medicine, which both contain mercury. If my kidneys are filtering the mercury out of my blood and it is being excreted in my urine, then at least some mercury should show up in a blood test. I would even accept an answer about how blood levels do not always show up, but instead I got total lies. This is LabCorp, one of 2 main labs that doctors all over my region use. What's going on?????
I had to get a test that was outside my insurance network. I was given a CPT code by the physician and the facility that was being used to get authorization for my insurance to pay for the coverage of the test. Paperwork has CPT code on it that was given by the physician. I then get a bill from Labcorp. They decided to change the CPT code. My guess is that they were trying to up-charge the test. They refuse to change it back to the CPT code that is written on all of the paperwork and precription for the test. I spoke to several supervisors who each time just got more nasty and would never answer my questions even if it was just yes or no. They changed a CPT code based on what they wanted to change it to, not based on the order from the doctor. My insurance company of course won't pay for it because it's a different CPT code and I can't send another authorization request so now I am stuck with the bill. I would have never gotten it done if I would have known I would have ended up having to pay out of pocket. LabCorp is shady and commiting fraud.

He promised he could get us a family package at the Riu in Cabo. It would include 2 suites accomidating 6 adults and 1 child all inclusive beach front rooms! WHAT was I thinking?
After paying for the package I could not get a hold of any person that could help me book. I finally after several calls and long waits was able to reach someone who sent me a resort list with available options. NO RIU, that is for sure. Instead, there were only two hotels in Cabo and one of them required large upgrade fees. The other was a dumpy motel in the middle of town, no beach, no all inclusive, no alcohol on premises, no suites.
I tried to call the company and inquire and was repeatedly put on hold, and then hung up on as if accidentally. This company asks for identity information that is a little scary. They want pictures of the front and back of your drivers license. I wonder if anyone has ever actually received a vacation from them ever. They intentionally try to block you from booking. The Never offer what is promised, and will hang up on you if they know they already have your money. DONT DO IT!!!!!!
Doctors office neglected to supply codes for lab tests, test was on 1/28/15. When first bill came, the doctors office callled the headquarters of Labcorp and gave them the codes so they could supply to Medicare. Every month I got the same bill and called headquarters and each time gave the the codes again and got the nameof person who I spoke to. On12/2/15 another bill arrive for the same 1/28/15 test. This time they said medicare would not accept the codes. I called Medicare, and told them everything. They are notifying Labcorp that there is now and investigation, and Medicare is sending me the forms to fill out and send in all the copies of each month of who I spoke to because the calles are taped.
I received an email on Nov. 5th from a Carmen Cox at [email protected] stating I had won $500,000 from Publishers ClearingHouse that night and to send my name, address and phone # to their agent at [email protected]
The next morning I contacted the true Publishers ClearingHouse to confirm if this was a fraud. They stated it was a fake and that they will be passing the information on to their scam unit. They asked if anyone ever has a suspicion whether something comes from them to please inform them.
