We shipped Scot Johson 100 new Bitmain miners mid 2018. At the time the miners were $2000 each.
We also wired him $30,000 for hosting deposits. They were supposed to be installed in early September of 2018. He gave us excuse and excuse of why they are delays to get them installed. After 6 months of waiting we started to put pressure on him to get them installed. In April of 2019, we demanded he return our money and miners or we have to get legal involved. He said, you want to take it there huh... He has never replied since.
Our attorney sent demand letters and for about 2 weeks his attorney Geoffrey Cher, ([email protected]), www.wildlaw.ca has also stopped replying to us.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DIGITAL SHOVEL. SCOT IS A SCAM ARTIST!
I believe this is fraud. Have you tried calling the police on him? I sent him about 20 machines, and had paid for them up front and her an off with my money. The amount of money you sent him, seems like a big deal. I hope they catch the guy and he rots in jail.
I entered into a contract with Scot Johnson and Digital Shovel to provide cyrptocurrency miner hosting services. This contract required a 6 month downpayment. I provided the downpayment. 2 Months into service, Scot shut everything down, kept saying things would be fixed shortly, then said everything was shutting down.
He claimed he would be providing refunds for the downpayment and lost mining earnings (which he promised multiple times) however, has never done so. Additionally, he repeatedly refused to return my equipment.
Eventually he claimed he was going to return my equipment and send me tracking information. That tracking number reported the packages were never picked up and a day later, the tracking information was cancelled. I spoke with UPS who confirmed that the creator had cancelled the shipment.
Over 2+ years, Scot has repeatedly lied, pretended he didn't say things that he did (all of this information are in emails, so it's not like he can pretend he didn't say them), and still to this day he has never returned any of my equipment of downpayment for services.
Yet Digital Shovel continues to operate. If he weren't in Canada, he would be in jail.
I sent Digital Shovel 9 crypto miners in Oct. 2018. They produced for 2 months then went off line. I got updates on alleged relocations until my contract ended in Oct. 2019. Scot Johnson, the owner, promised the return of my miners and a refund of my fees. I’ve seen nothing. He’s either a scammer or very inept. In either case, avoid Digital Shovel.
Miners taken down without warning. No service since.
Similar experience, I payed up front for a year, but after 2 months of partial service, suddenly my miners went completely down without warning.
After almost two weeks of trying to contact Digital Shovel I was told the miners were moving down to Texas and would take 2 months to do so.
After patiently waiting months and promises of several locations going up, I realized these were all empty promises. There's always some "missing parts" or similar vague excuses.
I have had no choice but to resorted to legal action.
According to Wildeboer they do not represent Digital Shovel on these matters, and were surprised I was contacting them. I was told they should not have been represented as they are by Digital Shovel on the contract.
You need to deal with the owner directly (Scot), or go through the courts.
