The phrasing in your ads is meant to confuse us folks . It makes me wonder how many other companies are using this same tactic to fool people into responding to the "deals". Shame on you "greedy" people! Only out to scam people who are so naïve, to send for these products. Will be deleting every ad on their Facebook posts.
I answered a "Free Trial" face cream ad which turned into two charges on my credit card for $99 and $95. I'm currently fighting it through my credit card company. There are many complaints on the internet of people like me scammed by this company and others just like it! They advertise a "Free Trial" and take your credit card info for the "shipping" costs.
After 14 days, they claim that you did not return the product (they won't take back opened product) and did not cancel in time, so they bill your credit card for up to $200! They claim that they disclose their terms up front but THEY DO NOT! They use one web site that does not disclose the scamming terms when taking your credit card info, then when challenged they point to another web site that has the terms.
The products used for this SCAM include: "Sheerhealth", "Renaderm", "Nuriva". A "Google Search" of "Face Cream Scams" will produce many examples of this type of scam.
I too am caught by "free trial" phrase. I have tried a couple of these and have had no extra charges added to my credit card plus, I received the product. But.....this one time I was fooled. Charges amounting to $94! Called my credit card company and had to get a new card. I'd like to know why Facebook, let's these companies use their website????? Lesson learned ! Don't believe the ads popping up on your Smart phones. I don't get them on my desktop pc. Don't want them on here either !!!
