I received a bouquet of flowers on my birthday. The driver dropped them off at the front door with a note that said "we stopped by with a delivery and found you were out", which was not the case. I say them drive off and say the flowers on the door step but there was no attempt made to deliver the flowers in person, i.e. knock on the door or ring the bell. I went directly to the door and brougnt the flowers in and noticed that they were half dead and the other half were well on their way out. As I had company at my house at the time I was unable to call the florist to advise the quality of the flowers were very poor. As these were from dear friends from oversea I was very confused with the quality as they send flowes every year and the bouquets are amazing and I know that they spend a minimum of $100 on the gift each year as they have done for the last 20 plus years.
I tried to call the florist on their local number the following day and could not get through but left a message. After about an hour passing I called the 1-800 toll free number and and indiviual answered the phone and put me on hold for 10 plus minutes. I hung up and called back saying that I thought we were disconnect as there was no one on the line after an excessive time. She told me that she was talking to another customer and was busy and again put me on hold. After an additional 3 plus minutes she came back on the line and asked what I needed. I advised her that I had received flowers the prior day and that when they arrived they were half dead and the other half were on their way out. As I knew the bouquet was in the neighborhood of a $100 plus, I thought that the quality was substand and when I was descriping the problems, i.e. the baby's breath was just "stalks with a couple of flowers on them", she said she didn't understand since she didn't use stalks.
When I again tried to explain the issue she was extremely rude and would not let me advise her of what the balance of the flowers looked like, i.e. the roses were wilted and the daisy's hade brown spots all over the petals and the snapdragons were brown and half dead. In the middle of my asking her if she could just credit the account they were charged to, she hung up on me. I called back and advised her that it appeared that we had been disconnected. She was even more rude and told me that she didn't hang up on me, which I found strange as I told her that we were "disconnected". The owner of the shop then proceeded to ask me what I expected and why I didn't call her yesterday with my "COMPLAINT" and advised her that I was not in a position to contact her as I had guests and then had a birthday dinner. When I advised here that I attempted to call the local number several times and there was no answer,, I left a message and requested a return call. I waited for some time and with no return call I called the toll free number and was only then able to register the issue. I advised that it was not necessary to re-do the flowers or deliver a new bouquet but that I woudl requst that the senders receive a credit. She told me that since I had not called the day of the delivery that I'd have to return the flowers to the shop and "she woudl do something". When I asked for the address, she told me that it was on the delivery ticket! I then asked what area of town they were in to determine the drive distance so that I could return the flowers and was told to "GOOGLE IT" and then was hung up on the second time.
I again call back the toll free number several times and they did not pick up the call. I did "GOGGLE IT" to learn that the shop was 47.9 miles from my house and would take me 1hour 9 minutes to drive it. I was astonished at the rudeness of this shop owner. When looking on the site at the choice of arrnagemenbts I located the one that was "ordered" and noted that it started at $97 to $117 depending on the number of flowers that were included. As this order was placed from friends in the UK, this Florist knowing that they would not see the flowers delivered, delivered an arrangement that was of very poor quality, and was not consistent with the images represented on their website. Further the shop was rude and feel that they took advantage of doing less than quality work simply becuase the senders were not local.
I would never do business with this shop again and woudl recommend that no one else use them. Based on the visuals on their web site and the actual arrangemetns delivered they practcies are deceptive.
