I can't believe I wasted my time coming in for an interview. They told me over the phone there would be a base salary of 40-60k therefore, I go into the interview and some short kid named Luke interviews me (he didn't look over the age of 20.) The office was in a really bad neighborhood and there was a small lobby with only a few chairs that weren't even nice enough to be from IKEA, plus a tv which didn't even have cable.
Luke told me that they work for a home improvement company and go DOOR TO DOOR signing people up for free estimates. The only way you earn money is if you sign people up at their homes that day. There was no base salary at all just STRICTLY COMMISSION! They told me it would be full time Monday-Friday during the day. The real hours are Monday-Saturday from 9:30am-11:00pm for account managers and 11:00am-9:00pm for newer employees.
Apparently, they work in the field during the day after morning meetings and then come to the office at night to breakdown their day. The second round interview was with a guy named ABDULLAH who took me to the nearest dunkin donuts to explain the corporate structure which was really a pyramid scheme. He advised me that only 1% of employees ever reach management but when you do you will make 6 figures. Your really there as a stepping stool for the owner to build his office so he can gain success at the expense of horrible working conditions.
I applied for two positions online from Indeed and Career Builder. One was for an assistant manager and the other was for a junior account manager. I have been working in management for the last 15 years and they told me there were junior and senior level positions. When I asked about management positions the "owner" Luke told me I had to go DOOR TO DOOR in the field for over a year and build up a team before I could even consider being in a management roll. All the growth is organic so everyone starts in the field not getting paid for the first 3 weeks.
SMART CIRCLE strikes again! I am sorry if you were pulled into this scam and now the research is done for everyone! I am glad I worked here for one day to see what it was like to warn everyone else in this position!
This job is a waste of time. They didnt call me for a interview they emailed me and gave me an interview 2 days after I applied. They said the salary was $45,000-$60,000! The first interview was with Luke, he is very unfriendly, unhumble and NO personality!!!! He came off like you need they and they dont need you!! Then i came again for the second interview to discusss eveything more in detail and it was ALLL A WASTE OF TIME!!! I met with someone names abdule who was nice. When I asked what the hour salary was he beat around the bush, he went through a whole bunch of math problems and said the salary was based on effort! There was no exact price! Also said the hours was monday-friday 11-8 and saturday 9-5! Who wants to be their all week not knowing how much they were getting paid? Just a whole scam !! Dont waste your time to work with unhumble not genuine people!
