We were issued a $90 Prepaid Reward Card. The card has been activated, but continues to get declined because it says the expiration date has passed. However, based on Colorado Rev. Stat. ยง6-1-722 "Gift card" means a prefunded tangible or electronic record of a specific monetary value evidencing an issuer's agreement to provide goods, services, credit, money, or anything of value. A "gift card" includes, but is not limited to, a tangible card; electronic card; stored-value card; or certificate or similar instrument, card, or tangible record, all of which contain a microprocessor chip, magnetic chip, or other means for the storage of information and for which the value is decremented upon each use.
A $3 fee is applied every month that the debit card still has a balance after the expiration date, but the funds are still available. We have been unable to use this card. It is impossible to talk to anyone in customer service as there is simply no person to discuss. The card has been activated and a pin number has been assigned. The address is current.
We belive that the gift card is violating Colorado Statues.
I, and am finding as well as many others, have submitted valid rebate forms and they are a HOAX. Either they don't send the prepaid credit card, or the credit card has issues. AVOID THIS COMPANY unless you absolutely want the contacts for the price before rebate!! Me, I will stick to my glasses and won't be jerked around like a limp spaghetti noodle, thank you very little, CooperVision! Fulfill the rebate or don't offer it! HAVE SOME DIGNITY!
