I would like to write a traumatizing experience that happened to my father and my sister (accompanying my dad) to Kamran Tabib’s office.
Kamran Tabib, has performed tooth extraction on my 80 years old dad, who is a Medi-Cal recipient. Dr. Tabib was done with his job on my dad, and my dad and my sister were about to leave the office, then the secretary (front office) stops them at the door demanding this Medi-Cal recipient patient to pay $85 in cash out of his pocket! When my sister responded that he has insurance, and you should charge insurance, the secretary (front office) replied "the Dr. has applied medication and you are responsible for the medication". My sister then requests to send Bill and we will pay as we receive.
INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, THE DR.S' OFFICE REFUSES TO SEND THE BILL AND HOLDS THEM AT THE OFFICE!!!
AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR OF CALLING TO MY MOTHER BACK AND FORT, THE DR. ALLOWS THEM TO LEAVE "ONLY" IF THEY PROMISE TO BRING THE MONEY "ON THE SAME DAY".
After leaving the office my sister called me and when I knew about the situation I called and asked the office to send us a bill. She refused and said "No, you MUST pay us by the end of business day today!" I told her that this is "illegal" and I am recording her voice. She then hung up the phone and they are not picking up the phone since. I left couple messages and there is no call returned.
THE OFFICE WAS TRYING TO CHARGE MY DAD $85.00 (CASH) AND CHARGE MEDI-CAL AT THE SAME TIME.
