When Carvana delivered the car that I bought they did not give me a copy of the contract and did not tell me what the account number was and where I was supposed to make my first payment. My first payment was due on 1 December 2023. After not hearing from Carvana I telephoned them on 27 November trying to make my car payment. They transferred me to their financial company Bridge crest and they refuse to accept my payment that was due in 3 days. I was attempting to pay them VIA a credit card. They wanted me to sign up for auto pay that I refused (I always make extra principal payments), they wanted me to pay VIA a debit card that I don't have. Then they awnted me to drive 34 miles to the nearest Walmart and pay at the Walmart. I mailed them a check. Carvana never told me that I would NOT be able to pay VIA a credit card before I bought the car. After spending more than 2 hours on the phone with Carvana Resolution Department and a 3-way call with Bridge crest they were unable to resolve my issues. I informed Carvana that I had requested BINDING ARBITRATION (per my contract that they finally emailed me on 9 December 23) and CARVANA received the letter on 11 December 23). Carvana told me that I only had 30 days to file for binding arbitration. I asked them where does it state that in the contract and they were unable to find it, (there is no 30 day restriction in the contract). Then Carvana told me that I had to hire an attorney BEFORE I could file for binding arbitration. I told Carvana that it was NOT REQUIRED to have an attorney for binding arbitration and that I woukd be representing myself. Carvana said that until I hired an attorney they would not participate in binding arbitration. I told them then I wanted my contract VOID since they refuse toi comply with the colntract. They said no attorney, no binding arbitration and that the contract would NOT BE VOIDED. I am a 73 years old senior citizen, US Marine and RETIRED US Army and I have a flip phone that I can only talk on and I have limited ability on computers. CARVANA is taking advantage of SENIORS and VETERANS. I would NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY A CAR FROM CARVANA! They are a terrible copmany and do not care for their customers.
Still waiting on my car. I would definitely not trust their advocates when they say they will have the car delivered, nor would I put any faith in the confirmed delivery time they send. After multiple issues including trade-ins, dealing with over 10 of the Carvana advocates (who all promised to call me back but never did), and have a 36 hour technical glitch that prevented anything occurring with my account (including delivery scheduling).
I can wholeheartedly say that I will not recommend this company to anyone. They have my money, and I currently have car insurance on a car that they claim can not be found. After guaranteeing delivery several times, I am not not guaranteed any time in the next week because they can not locate the car. This is very disappointing customer service and very a poor business model. Buyers beware!!
Initial experience was great dealing with purchasing the car and the responsiveness of customer service during the initial buying process. But now that I have the car the customer service is non-existent. The car was delivered to me 6/5/19. It's now 8/12/19 and I still do not have my permanent plates.
My temp plates expired almost a month ago and I sat on hold over an hour to get to customer service, who was less than helpful. I also tried the chat option and that was an even worse experience as it's obvious the chat customer service reps have had no customer service training. I was finally told there was an issue with my title but interestingly nobody from Carvana contacted me with that information and in fact Carvana didn't know there was an issue until 7/12/19 (WEEKS after the car had been delivered to me and just days before my temp plates expired) - Carvana just let my temporary plates expire without any information given to me.
I have been to the DMV in person twice now to explain my situation and they have charged me for temporary plate extensions. A manager at Carvana told me I would get my plates no later than 8/9/19. . .but just got off with them and now they are saying things won't be "finalized" until 8/16/19. . .but nobody can tell me what "finalized" means. Does that mean plates in my hand or the Carvana paperwork finalized? It's extremely frustrating to have a new car in my driveway that I cannot drive and nobody can give me information.
Was very excited to find this website Carvana.com to purchase a truck seemed pretty simple. Followed all the instructions and had all the appropriate information needed to qualify to purchase a vehicle from them. I was qualified and submitted my documents to submit my prove of income, residence, and identity. Then I get a call from a woman in "underwriting" stating my income was half of what I make. Not only was she a complete idiot she argued what was in black and white on my check stub. She made a major mathematical error in her calculations and instead of apologizing and correcting it she argued with me on what my income was as if I don't know or was lying. I immediately called another dealership and gave them my check stub and ask them to calculate my income and guess what I make what I said I make yearly! My wife called and spoke to Tammy that worked there who told her she would speak with her "supervisor" and get this corrected. So after she got off her job 4 hours later no phone call had been made, no correction, no apology, no notes, no email. My wife called back only to get another idiot rep on the phone to tell her NOTHING had been done on the account and that the "underwriting " department had gone home for the day and generally don't ever work Saturday's. Can you even say that they work today with the mistake they made today the poor customer service, the lies, the promise of easy delivery of a vehicle and the aggravation they caused us I am not sure you would call this company anything but a huge JOKE! This is nothing but a internet based scam! With a couple of idiots that have no idea what they are doing. Warning stay away from this group of idiots!! Nothing but pure ignorance, lack of customer service and the ability to provide what they advertise!!
