Purchase a new Carson 10' x 6' utilty trailer from a dealer located in Chino Valley, AZ. on December 9, 2016. Used one time to haul my UTV and came home during rain storm December 16th. When I returned home, I noticed the paint was washed off the trailer on the fenders, front frame of trailer and rear ramp door. I took the trailer back to the dealer on December 19th to have them contact Carson regarding the warranty. The dealer noted that the trailer was not prepped properly for paint, which was my opinion as well. The dealer took photos and sent to the warranty department at Carson Tariler in Gardena, CA and the dealer was advised via email on December 21st, the following. " Please let the customer know the paint is not warrantied as it appears that the rust was due to the trailer being hauled in the snow. Chemical treatments used to remove snow can tear up the paint. Also the rust could also be from cinders sand balsted from the road." This was signed by the warranty department at Carson. There was no snow involved, just rain.... Maybe the company, just failed to properly prep the trailer for paint and now has chosen to poorly choose an option of no customer satisfaction in this matter and has chosen to ruin their reputation over a poorly painted trailer, rather than fix the problem correctly. I hope this report serves notice to Carson Trailer, Inc, your warranty department made a foolish decision regarding customer service. BUYERS BEWARE! This company will not honor their warranty.
