04/15/2020 Consumer rejects business' final offer
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This damage exiisted while Carrio motors had it in their possession , hence Phil Smith Chevy had to add air to the tire due to the leak around the wheel / rim which was confirmed by a certified tire technician once I had it checked out upon taking possession. Phil Smith Chevy would not go as far as to remove the tire from the wheel/rim and inspect the wheel internally. They just added air to meet the tires recommended pressure amount. Why didn't Carrio motors inspect the car when they had it for sale? Do they just purchase a vehicle and then throw it out on a lot as is without any type of inspection or service /maintenance? They want me to believe they were not aware of this situation. I will absolutely never be convinced of this. Its just an issue that they obviously do not want to spend any money to make their vehicles to make them safe. Cheap skate Jacob Carrio is a crook and I will continue to post negative reviews on every website out there to warn others to avoid this dealer. Now its just a matter of principle. I could actually care less about the cost of the tire. I have placed this piece of JUNK car up for sale and will enjoy immensely informing consumers about the unscrupulous dealings and practices at Carrio motor cars ! Try and do something about it Jacob!

Mr. Deloach had the vehicle checked out at Phil Smith Chevrolet for a Pre Purchase Inspection. They checked out the whole car, they checked all the air in the tires and found no leaks. If Phil Smith Chevrolet found leakage in the tires they would have put it on inspection as they are a service center and want to make money servicing vehicles. This damage must have occurred with the transport company Mr. Deloach hired to pick up the vehicle. Once again Mr. Deloach had a third party inspection done by a Chevrolet dealership to inspect the whole vehicle, if he is disappointed with the inspection he should be reaching out to Phil Smith Chevrolet.

04/13/2020 BBB Reviews Consumer Rebuttal to Business Response
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The vehicle while still in the possession of Carrio had a issue with the TPMS and air was being added to keep the notification from appearing on the driver display on the dash. Phil Smith assumed the tire pressure was just low and added air in order to get the tires to the recommended tire pressure. I had the tire in question checked by a ASE certified mechanic on Saturday 04/11/2020. I have the associated invoice with the findings on this tire in question. Rim has damage / deterioration internally and CANNOT be repaired. It will leak and is unsafe. The reply from Carrio doesn't surprise me in the least considering the prior issue with any repair expense on their part prior to the purchase. Especially Jacob Carrio. He comes across as extremely unprofessional and somewhat juvenile as well. Regardless, the rate this tire loses air and the fact it was on their property convinces me that the air loss was tasking place while they had possession of the car. Basically it was putting a band aid on bullet hole scenario by continually adding air to clear the TPMS notification. I will continue to place negative reviews for this business and there crooked methods on every website that I can access as well as the Federal consumer watchdog site, which Carrio cannot access. Be aware of and avoid conducting business with this car dealer. You will be better off to look elsewhere.
*NOTE- Recommended by repair facility/tire technician is as follows. Replace rim / wheel as it cannot be repaired due to the condition of the internal damage. Invoice available and will be posted as well.

We are not even sure how to respond to this as this is crazy talk. Mr. Deloach had the vehicle inspected by Phil Smith Chevrolet and they gave him a whole inspection report... if they missed an air leak in the tire, he should be taking this up with Phil Smith Chevrolet. This is a 2011 Chevrolet Corvette and for Mr. Deloach to leave us negative feedback over this is astonishing. Mr. Deloach didn't even attempt to reach out to us to ask for help towards repair of his tire.. Shame on you Mr. Deloach. We will NOT assist Mr. Deloach in anyway as this is slander and extortion.

Case Description: Purchased a 2011 Chevy Corvette from Carrio Motors. One tire will not hold air for more than 3 days before becoming flat.
Purchased Vehicle online from Carrio motors. Vehicle was inspected while still in Florida at a Chevrolet Dealer (Phil Smith Chevrolet) and tire pressure monitoring system stated low air in tire/tires. Air was added and the notification was no longer visible on the information cluster on the vehicle. No attempt was made to check for existing leaks causing this notification to appear When received at my home in Georgia on 03/31/2020 the tire pressure monitoring system stated Right rear tire pressure is low. It only took 2 days for the vehicle to be shipped (enclosed) from Carrio Motors. Upon arrival the Right rear tire had already leaked air to the point that it only had 11 pounds of air pressure in it. I added the required amount of air per the vehicle owner's manual (30 pounds) on Sunday 04/05/2020 and as of today 04/08/2020 it has already leaked back down to 13 pounds of pressure and the notification appears in the vehicle again. Obviously this condition existed before the vehicle was shipped and air was added just to clear the (Low Air notification) on the drivers information cluster / instrument panel. I consider this extremely unprofessional especially when the dealer ( Carrio ) was aware this was a graduation gift for a family member. This is a safety issue as well as a problem ignored on their part and extremely unprofessional. It definitely shows that there more concerned with their own well being versus their customers safety and out of pocket expenses. I've done business with this dealer two times, the first time and the last time!! I will file and leave complaints on every consumer reviews associated website I can access to make sure future individuals will be aware of their business practices or lack thereof.

Don't buy from this dealer. They are scam artists and liars. Stay away from these guys.
I purchased a used 2015 Yukon Denali for $52,000. The vehilce had 22,000 miles on it when I bought it. I put approximately 2,500 miles on it after purchase. In 3 months timeframe, the engine blew.
I asked about a warranty when test driving the car. I was informed by Jacob Carrio that it was still under factory warranty. What I wasn’t told is the warranty is void due to the engine being altered.
Jacob Carrio told me him and his father, Louis Carrio, to go pound sand. They said, you signed a contract specifying "as-is." They took no responsibility. I'm now out $11,500 on a truck I just bought for $52K.
I'm in SC and they are in Fl. I needed to buy the car sight unseen and have it shipped. I asked if there were any scratches or dents, or any cosmetic and/or mechanical issues. Jacob assured me it was "perfect". He promised 2 keys, all manuals, and a 30 day temporary tag so I could drive the car until I received the title and was able to register it in my state.
When my shipper delivered the car to me, there was one key and no manual, no temporary tag so the car was illegally shipped and I obviously couldn't legally drive it, the car had body damage, (broken bumper), cracked windshield, the check engine light was on, the navigation screen was distorted and un-readable, and some options on the car didn't work.
When I reached out to Jacob, I received no reply. After calls to the dealer's office, an assistant told me the car was sold as is and ther's nothing they could or would do.
Luckily I bought through Ebay and they are fighting to get my money back. This is evidently a fraudulent and horrible place to buy anything from, much less a $20,900 used car.
Carrio Motor Cars are rip offs Buyer beware!! Stay away! I purchased a used vehicle from them online the pictures were crisp and clean no damage stated low miles. I purchased the car and I over paid which is my fault, but nevertheless I received the car (2 weeks after it was promised, AC belt constantly squeaks, AC only comes out of one vent, front left corner Headlight piece is missing the lens, all of the weatherstripping was hanging and gorilla glued on sloppily.
After waiting almost 2 weeks to get my registration I go to start it the key would not work. I had to pay almost $1000 to get it diagnosed, towed and a new key made. Before I purchased the car Jacob told me that it was an elderly gentleman's car that was a friend of his fathers. Stupid me believed him and looked at the Carfax later only to learn that Carrio Motor Cars purchased it at an auction. Lies lies all lies. I learned a hard lesson and I will never deal with the shady use car company like Cario motorcars. Please do your research on this company online and you will see that I am not the only one that they have ripped off.
CARRIO MOTOR CARS. I flew in from Washington, DC to purchase a 2005 Cadillac STS. I have purchase a car that have more problems than I could imagine. All the pulleys has to be replaced as well as the tires, alternator all were due from salt, rust, and excessive corrosion on the undercarriage. I believe that this car was over priced. I was lie to and being deceive of Jacob was telling me. He told me that the car was in perfect condition and I told him that I had 900 miles to drive this car home.
He guarenteed me that this car was in perfect shape. The car did get me home but with several unscheduled stops for sounds coming from the rear of the car. Once I got home I made my personal mechanic to check to find the rust and corrosion under the car. I then take the car to APS (Automcotive Protection Services) to treat the rust, salt, and the corrosion. I also had taken the car to Coleman Cadillac Dealership in Bethesda, Maryland to find out that the brake lines needs be replaced and maybe the transmission lines as well. My concerns for others is "BUYERS BE WARE".
I flew down on june 6th to carrio motor cars to pick up a cadillac sts they advertised as perfect condition. This car should not be on the streets and carrio should not have sold that car to anyone including myself. I was mislead that this car was a perfect car. But to find out that i had to spend nearly 3 thousands dollars while in florida in order for me to drive it back to washington, dc. This car was taken to my regular mechanic who told me that the car was wothless because of corrosion and rust under the undercarriage. The entire brake system has to be replace because rust. Carrio had put tie strings and duck tape to hold the brake lines together. I was told by the owners son jacob that the car had just came out of the shop for repairs. The transmission lines are so rusted i had to put the car in shop to get a corrosion and rust proof to extend the life of the car before it get worst. I would advise to all not to purchase any vehicles from carrio because all of their cars is sold "as is without a warranty".
What a Crook
I drove from Jacksonville to purchase a Porsche from Jacob who had assured me the vehicle was in " Super condition". Once I arrived at Carrio motors I was dismayed that no one was even their and they were closed. After a few calls and a hour and a half of waiting Jacob showed up and offered no apologies what so ever. Getting down to business he took me into a large warehouse type building that had numerous vehicles all in some stage of repairs. Once he finally located the Porsche in this warehouse environment I was devastated to see the condition it was in! It didn't even resemble the Porsche shown on their website. Body damage, interior was a mess, obvious really bad respray of body panels. Porsche logos missing from the hood and rear deck. Front air dam was about to fall off. It became obvious that all pictures taken in front of the home for sale that Carrio Motors uses on their website was of a totally different Porsche. Jacob attempted to explain this away with the " It's a 9 year old car, its not in perfect condition" excuse, yet he had glowing comments when speaking on the phone. I could continue with even more about other vehicles I looked at on their property but believe me, it was very apparent that Carrio specializes in purchasing cars at cheap auctions and then throws a few dollars into them and posts photos at just the right angles and never up close as to hide all the flaws and damage. Lesson learned, but at least I didn't purchase online and use their delivery service as I considered. In closing, BEWARE of this ragtag collection of misfit and broken down vehicles and the crooked owners. By all means, purchase elsewhere and get a sound vehicle, not the scrap metal Carrio advertises on their site!
